About Me

I am Susan Simpson, 15 years ago I started my journey in finding the ‘essence’ of who I was.  Beginning a level 2 counselling course, I then spent 8 years in education, continuing this journey. Forever humbled by the people I have worked with, walking by their side as they flourish and grow, filling their own ‘toolbox’ with coping strategies to support their overall wellbeing – becoming their own ‘best self’.  People are not broken and need fixing, they just need someone to listen and walk with them whilst they find themselves, as I did 15 years ago.

Do you want to move forward in your life? Are you unsure how to do this? I can work with you to tap into your resourcefulness and develop your own 'toolbox' in managing your mental well-being. Positive Psychology helps you to develop optimism, hope and resilience; mindfulness helps you to live in the moment. Post traumatic growth is a passion of mine.

I believe in the human capacity to become your own best resource. I have worked with over 200 people who have had mental health issues for different reasons and I have seen firsthand how people can change and grow, becoming their own best resource. This is empowering and a humbling experience.

Wellbeing Retreats

Mindfulness Retreats including Positive Psychology and Creative activities. 

These retreats will suit anybody that:

  • Interested in exploring secular mindfulness practice further or reconnecting to your practice

  • Curious about experiencing longer periods of sitting meditation and periods of silence as a way to strengthen and support your practice

  • In need of rest and replenishment

  • Feel inspired by spending time reconnecting with nature

  • Would like to learn how to sustain your practice when you return to everyday life
